Teresa Rupp is a professor of history at Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD, where she teaches courses in ancient and medieval history as well as courses in the civilization sequence of the university’s core curriculum. She is particularly proud of a course she developed, “Harry Potter and the Middle Ages.” She holds a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and a Master’s and PhD from Cornell University. Her scholarly interests include medieval political theory, medieval Italy, and medievalism. A historian by profession, she is also an enthusiastic amateur musician (playing violin, viola, and piano) and photographer.
